Get your goggles and gear ready because Ducati’s all-new Desmo450 MX is tearing into Australian and New Zealand dealerships this September! Priced at $16,300 in Australia and $17,793 in New Zealand, this beast is set to shake up the motocross scene.
Fresh off a championship-winning debut in the Italian Prestige MX1 series—where Alessandro Lupino took the title—Ducati isn’t just dipping its toes in the dirt; it’s diving in headfirst. The brand is making its official mark in the 2025 Motocross World Championship (MXGP), proving that this isn’t just a flashy red bike—it’s built to win.
Leading the charge in MXGP will be the Aruba.it - Ducati Factory MX Team, featuring top riders Jeremy Seewer and Mattia Guadagnini. What makes the Desmo450 MX stand out? Well, it’s the only bike in its class with Ducati’s signature desmodromic valve control system, giving it precision and power straight out of the racing playbook.
The team is already flexing its muscles, with Guadagnini landing a podium finish at the Internazionali d'Italia MX EICMA Series in Montevarchi. With 20 rounds across four continents, the 2025 MXGP season kicks off in Argentina on March 2nd, beaming into over 180 countries.
But wait, there’s more! Ducati isn’t stopping at the 450. The Ducati Corse R&D - Factory MX Team is busy cooking up the Desmo250 MX, a prototype set to tackle the Italian MX2 Championship. With Alessandro Lupino and motocross legend Antonio Cairoli fine-tuning the machine, the 250cc version is bound to be just as spicy as its big brother.
Ducati’s leap into motocross is no half-hearted experiment—it’s a full-throttle commitment. And with the Desmo450 MX hitting showrooms soon, Aussie and Kiwi riders will finally get to see if this Italian stallion can handle the roost. Get ready to twist the throttle and send it!
