Group Intercom Recorded Directly In-Camera - FINALLY!
Forgive me if I’m late to the party, but this discovery has been a game-changer, and I haven’t seen anyone else discussing it yet.
A couple of years ago, I recorded a video showcasing the GoPro Hero 12’s revolutionary Bluetooth mic input feature. At the time, this was an exciting development for moto-vloggers, as it allowed wireless pairing between your Cardo system and the GoPro to capture audio directly to the camera. While this was great for solo vlogs, I was inundated with questions about how to record the full intercom group conversation during rides.
Until now, I’ve been searching for a way to make it happen. Finally, I’ve cracked the code, and I’m excited to share it with you!
Here’s how it works: If you’re using a Cardo Packtalk Edge, Neo, or Pro, you can pair your camera to the Cardo as a Bluetooth Intercom Rider A. By doing this, your camera becomes part of the intercom system. When you join a DMC group with up to 16 riders, the Bluetooth channel bridges into the group chat. This setup not only sends the entire group conversation to your camera for recording but also allows you to actively communicate with your riding buddies.
To make this clearer, I’ve included a diagram below to illustrate the setup. This solution opens up new possibilities for moto-vloggers who want to capture the full group riding experience. Stay tuned for a demonstration of this feature in action!
