Hakataramea Valley & Pass

Hakataramea Valley and pass runs roughly North/south from SH82 near Kurow to SH8 near Burkes Pass.

Its mainly gravel, and pretty open. Nothing too difficult for your average adventure rider, but due to the elevation it can get cold, especially in the pass. there is also limited and in some places no cell signal.

With wide open views, and a few small water crossings, this is a great way to link two valleys together, and as it's southern point is near Kurow, its easy to come through Danseys Pass heading north and carry on to Hakataramea.
